Zusammenfassung

Stoffwechselstörungen, die mit der Speicherung von Substanzen einhergehen, können sich manchmal auch im Skelett manifestieren. Die gespeicherten Substanzen finden sich meistens in den Zellen des retikulo-histiozytären Systems, das deutlich aktiviert ist. Somit werden die krankhaften ossären Speicherherde vorwiegend im Knochenmarkraum angetroffen. Sie führen hier zu einer Destruktion der Spongiosatrabekel, zu einer reaktiven Osteoporose und oft zu lokalisierten Knochennekrosen. Diese Knochendestruktion zeigt sich im Röntgenbild als irreguläre fleckige Osteolyse. Da es sich um systemische Erkrankungen handelt, werden meistens mehrere Herde im Knochen und in mehreren Knochen angetroffen. Außer den Knochen können dabei auch andere Gewebe und parenchymatöse Organe von Speicherherden durchsetzt sein, die funktionelle Störungen hervorrufen.
