Il y a d’excellentes preuves (voir section 1 E du présent Handbuch) que les mastocytes1 sont la source principale de l’histamine des tissus. Une meilleure connaissance de l’organisation chimique de ces cellules peut aider à résoudre les problèmes que posent la synthèse, la libération et la signification biologique de l’histamine dans les mastocytes.
