Dammverletzungen kommen nach schlecht geleiteten Spontangeburten und operativen Entbindungen vor. Pfählungsverletzungen oder Komplikationen nach chirurgischen Eingriffen (hintere Plastik, Behandlung varicöser Hämorrhoidalvenen, Versorgung von S cheiden-Mastdarmfisteln) spielen eine untergeordnete Rolle.
