Zusammenfassung

Bluttransfusion bedeutet die Übertragung von Vollblut oder Blutbestandteilen eines Spenders auf einen Empfänger. Für die Klinik steht hierbei die Übertragung von Erythrozyten im Vordergrund. Dabei muß die Kompatibilität zwischen Erythrozytenantigenen des Spenders und Plasmaantikörpern des Empfängers sichergestellt sein, da ansonsten tödliche hämolytische Reaktionen auftreten können. Neben der Transfusion von Vollblut und Erythrozytenkonzentraten kommt in jüngster Zeit auch der Übertragung von Thrombozyten, Gerinnungsfaktoren, Plasmaproteinkolloiden und Immunglobulinen eine größere Bedeutung zu.
