Zusammenfassung

Während der letzten Zeit ist die Prognose nach einer chirurgischen Behandlung der thorakalen Aortenaneurysmen deutlich besser geworden (5, 6, 17, 19, 26, 33, 35, 36, 37). Die durchschnittliche perioperative Letalität während der letzten Jahre liegt bei 23% (6% – 34%) (Tabelle 1.) Dies beruht hauptsächlich sowohl auf der Einführung der tiefen systemischen Hypothermie mit Kreislaufstillstand (22) und auf den kardioplegischen Herzstillstand sowie auf der Einführung von Gefäßprothesen mit einem niedrigen Porositätsgrad oder sogar mit Abdichtung der Beschichtung.
