Zusammenfassung

Im Stoffwechsel der Steroide, zahlreicher Aromaten und einiger Aminosäuren kennt man einzelne Schritte, die als direkte Einführung einer oder mehrerer Hydroxylgruppen an einem vorgegebenen Kohlenstoffgerüst aufgefaßt werden müssen. Seit 1949 wurden systematische in vitro-Untersuchungen zu diesen zunächst nur in vivo beobachteten Umsetzungen von zahlreichen Arbeitsgruppen durchgeführt.
