Unklare Hautveränderungen müssen histologisch und nicht mit Hilfe zytologischer Abstriche abgeklärt werden. Dazu sollten pathologische Veränderungen wie auch Bereiche am Rande der Läsion mittels sog. Punch-Biopsien aus der Haut gestanzt werden (➔ Abb. 34.1).
