Abstract

In the presence of an arteriovenous aneurysm involving the external carotid artery, the skull films may show increased vascular markings, especially pronounced in the middle meningeal groove; enlargement of the foramen spinosum; increased vascularity of the bone; enlargement of the longitudinal sinus; and in cases of long standing, a diffuse thickening of the calvarium (Fig. 34).
