Abstract

Within the scope of the book, as spelt out in Chap. 1, a survey of classical and quantum mechanics of both TID and TD systems in 1D and 2D is carried out. Further it may be mentioned that as far as possible all throughout, whether it is classical or quantum context, exact invariants which are polynomials in momenta are dealt with. The discussion of approximate invariants (about which enormous literature has been known for a long time now, particularly for TD systems) is, however, wishfully avoided. Although the concluding remarks pertaining to these aspects of dynamical systems are made in each chapter separately still an essence of the contents of the monograph is worth presenting here at one place. This is done in the next Section.
