MRI of Subdural Fluid Collection in Infants

Abstract

Twenty cases of subdural fluid collection in infants were examined by MRI (0.5 Tesla). The findings of MRI were classified into 3 groups as follows: Group I: Blood component is observed in the entire subdural fluid (4 cases, 20%). Group II: Blood component is observed in a part of the subdural fluid (4 cases, 20%). Group III: Subdural fluid consists of pure CSF (12 cases, 60%).
