Abstract
Preamble. Chapters 1–6 have dealt with linear behavior, behavior that forms the core of traditional theoretical physics. The last two chapters, Chaps. 7, 8, give the reader a glimpse into an extension of the traditional, — the currently active field of nonlinear behavior. In this chapter two essays by distinguished physicists deal with order and chaos, essays complementary to the subject matter of Chap. 7, which revealed unexpected order and stabilities.
