Zusammenfassung
Ein Glomus-Tumor stellt eine Geschwulst dar, die ihren Ausgangspunkt in gefäßbegleitenden Paraganglien hat mit chemorezeptorischer, pressorezeptorischer und thermorezeptorischer Funktion (Stennert u. Thumfart 1988) ähnlich dem Glomus caroticum. Als synonyme Bezeichnung des Glomus-Tumors sind „Chemodektom“, „Paragangliom“ oder „nicht-chrom affines Gangliom“ anzutreffen.
