Zusammenfassung

Die Schreidauer zeigt einen charakteristischen Verlauf beim „normalen“ Säugling (Wolke, 1994a):

  • Die Schreidauer steigt von ca. 1,75 Stunden pro Tag auf ca. 2,5 Stunden bis zur 6. Lebenswoche an,

  • sie sinkt auf ca. 1 Stunde bis zum 4. Lebensmonat,

  • sie stabilisiert sich bis zum Ende des 1. Lebensjahres auf diesem Niveau.

  • Etwa 4o% aller Säuglinge schreien während der ersten 3 Lebensmonate am meisten in den Abendstunden zwischen 16.0o und 23.00 Uhr.
