Intense UV Laser Radiation Interaction with Surfaces

Abstract

Ever since the classical experiments on photoemission, the ultraviolet (uv) spectral range has been of great interest for the researchers specialized in the field of radiation interaction with matter. After the appearance of excimer lasers the possibilities for performing experiments in this field were widely extended. The active molecules, radiation wavelengths λ and photon energies ħω of the most efficient uv-excimer lasers are listed in Table 1.
