Zusammenfassung

Drei Mechanismen führen zur Lungenparenchymschädigung beim geschlossenen Thoraxtrauma:

  1. 1.

    Rippenfrakturen können zu Lazerationen oder Kontusionen der darunterliegenden Lungenanteile führen.

  2. 2.

    Eine Kompression des Thorax bedingt Lungenkontusionen oder Lungenrupturen.

  3. 3.

    Kontusionen können beim geschlossenen Trauma auch fern vom Ort der Gewalteinwirkung als „contre-coup“-Läsion entstehen.
