Development of Cu(InGa)Se2 Thin-Film Solar Cells

  • Chapter
Thin-Film Solar Cells

Part of the book series: Springer Series in Photonics ((PHOTONICS,volume 13))

Abstract

Cu(InGa)Se2(CIGS)-based-material systems are attractive for photovoltaic device applications because they have shown very good stability in outdoor tests, which is an important criterion for commercialization. The performance of GIGS thin-film solar cells has improved markedly since the Boeing group reported the achievement of over 10% by using evaporation techniques [1].
