Abstract

An ionic model with mixing occurring in the first sublattice is applied to olivine, 13- and y-spinel phases, described by the formula (Fe+2,Mg+2)2(Si+4)(0-2)4. The end-members are Fe2SiO4 and Mg2SiO4.
