Zusammenfassung

Die Diagnose wird durch histologische Untersuchung von Tumorgewebe gestellt. Zur Erfassung individueller Risiken ist es aber unverzichtbar, Tumorgewebe zusätzlich molekularbiologisch untersuchen zu lassen (z. B. Onkogenamplifizierung N myc, Chromosomendeletionen del 1p 36. 1–3, Erstellung immunologischer Markerprofile für späteres Knochenmarkpurging u. v. a.). Die Patientenführung soll daher von Anfang an in einem pädiatrisch-onkologischen Zentrum erfolgen. Die Histologie (zentrale Begutachtung!) sichert die Diagnose und ermöglicht das prognostisch relevante Grading.
