Die Keimzelltumoren entstammen nach dem Konzept von Teilum von den totipotenten primordialen Keimzellen, welche die Fähigkeit besitzen, sich in embryonale und extraembryonale Strukturen wie Dottersack- oder Choriongewebe zu entwickeln (◘ Abb.60.1).
