Zusammenfassung
Unter der Diagnose v.-Willebrand-Syndrom (vWS) werden quantitative und/oder qualitative Defekte des v.-Willebrand-Faktors (vWF) subsummiert. Dieses Protein ist unverzichtbar für die Adhäsion der Thrombozyten und die Gerinnselbildung (s. Kap.47) sowie die normale In-vivo-Halbwertzeit der Gerinnungsaktivität des Gerinnungsfaktors VIII (s. Kap.49). Das vWS ist die häufigste angeborene Gerinnungsstörung;je nach Typ schwankt die Prävalenz zwischen 0,01 und 1,0%. Die Erkrankung ist meist angeboren, erworbene Formen werden jedoch zunehmend beschrieben.
