Zusammenfassung

Die im Kindesalter seltenen Non-Hodgkin-Lymphome zählen fast ausschließlich zur Gruppe der hochgradig malignen Lymphome (Kiel-Klassifikation). Die Zahl der Erkrankungen liegt bei 5–6 pro 1 Million Kinder und Jahr. Sie neigen zu rascher Progredienz, früher Disseminierung mit leukämischer Transformation (15–80%) und ZNS-Befall (5–20%). Die bisweilen schwierige Abgrenzung von der akuten lymphoblastischen Leukämie (s. S. 335) kann im Einzelfall willkürlich erscheinen. Die Klassifizierung der einzelnen Formen erfolgt nach morphologischen, funktionellen und immunologischen Kriterien. Eine relativ enge Beziehung besteht zwischen primärem Befallsort bzw. Krankheitsbild und immunologischem Zelltyp.
