Zusammenfassung

Die Betreuung eines Neugeborenen nach normaler Schwangerschaft und Geburt liegt in der Regel in der Hand des Geburtshelfers. Bei allen Risikogeburten ist die Erstversorgung des Kindes durch einen neonatologisch geschulten Kinder arzt unbedingt wünschenswert. Gerade in solchen Fällen sind die Kräfte des Geburtshelfers, der Hebamme und auch des Anästhesisten auf die gefährdete Mutter konzentriert, so daß ein weiterer Arzt die Aufgabe übernehmen muß, den Zustand des Neugeborenen rasch zu erfassen und fachgerechte erste Hilfe zu leisten. Auch für den sicheren Transport des Kindes in die pädiatrische Spezialbehandlung muß gesorgt werden. Weil eine derartig ideale Zusammenarbeit noch keineswegs überall selbstverständlich ist, wenden sich die folgenden Therapievorschläge sowohl an den Geburtshelfer als auch an alle anderen im Kreißsaal tätigen Ärzte.
