Abstract
The image of the outer Solar System as consisting of just Pluto as the outermost planet at 40 AU, and the Oort Cloud at a distance of more than 40 000 AU, is no longer valid. Pluto is no longer the outermost object visible in our planetary system. Hundreds of icy bodies, orbiting beyond Pluto and Neptune, have been discovered in the last decade of the 20th century.
