Abstract
Health personnel carry out a wide spectrum of jobs, all of them susceptible to different forms of contact dermatitis. In this respect, a hospital is like a large factory. Many factors can be dangerous to the skin of health workers. All the potential biological and physical causes cannot be considered in this chapter. Radiation and viral, fungal, bacterial or animal factors may all cause occupational dermatoses in health personnel, but rarely of the contact dermatitis type. Nevertheless, protective measures and general prevention must be organized as in a major industry [1].
