Abstract

The origin of the theory of Hardy fields can be traced back to the work of Hardy in asymptotics, and beyond to the infinitärcalcül of P. du BoisReymond, [31]. Others including E. Landau and E. Borel also contributed to the development. We refer the reader to [39] for details on the antecedents of the subject.
