Abstract
Anal and rectal wounds may result from ingested foreign bodies and from a variety of objects passed through the rectum. Lesions due to ingested bodies are not common [3]»whereas those resulting from foreign bodies introduced into the rectum are becoming more and more frequent [2]. Migration from the peritoneum has been reported on occasion.
