Zusammenfassung
Die Neurofibromatose ist eine autosomal-dominante Erkrankung mit unterschiedlicher Penetranz und daher sehr variablem klinischen Erscheinungsbild. Sie wird zu den neurokutanen Syndromen (Phakomatosen) gezählt und ist der häufigste Repräsentant dieser sonst seltenen Erkrankungsgruppe. Man rechnet mit einem Fall auf etwa 3000 Geburten.
