Zusammenfassung
Verglichen mit den bekannten Veränderungen am Gehirn (z. B. toxoplasmainduzierte Abszesse, AIDS-assoziierte Demens, progrediente multifokale Leukenzephalopathie, Lymphome), an der Haut (Kaposi-Sarkom) und vor allem in den Lungen (Pneumocystis-carinii-Pneumonie) sind HIV- und AIDS-assoziierte Veränderungen an den Gelenken, am Knochen und am Muskel (Tabellen 21.1–21.3), offensichtlich seltener und auch dementsprechend weniger bekannt.
