Zusammenfassung
Das Ziel dieses Artikels besteht darin, die zum Verständnis der Six Sigma Initiative in der Qualitätssicherung notwendigen mathematisch-statistischen Grundlagen problemorientiert darzustellen. Dabei wird besonderer Wert auf die Zusammenhänge zwischen dem Six Sigma Ansatz und diversen Varianten der Prozessfahigkeitsindizes gelegt. Ein Anwendungsbeispiel zeigt Einsatzmöglichkeiten und Grenzen der Methodik.
Six Sigma is a gauge of quality efficiency, and a measure of excellence. It is a process quality goal that comes out of statistical probability measurement and process capability technique (Patricia O’Rourke).
