Zusammenfassung

Die Indikation zur endoprothetischen Versorgung an der Schulter wird wesentlich zurückhaltender gestellt als z. B. an der Hüfte. Arthrodese und Resektions-/Interpositionsplastik sind auch heute durchaus gebräuchliche operative Verfahren, obwohl der Gelenkersatz — bei gewissen Indikationen — den Anforderungen des Patienten an Schmerzfreiheit, Stabilität und Funktion eher gerecht wird.
