Zusammenfassung

Die Kinderkrankenpflege nimmt als integrierende Kraft zwischen Medizin, Psychologie, Physiotherapie und Pflege in der interdisziplinären Schmerztherapie eine Schlüsselposition ein. Sie hat den kontinuierlichsten Kontakt zum Patienten und seinen Eltern. Diese Kontinuität erlaubt intime Einblicke in Bedürfnisse, Befinden und Ängste des Patienten und seiner Begleitpersonen. Gerade auch durch den im Vergleich zu Ärzten geringeren Statusunterschied zur Familie erfährt die Schwester viel über das Schmerzerleben und -verhalten.
