Zusammenfassung

Kopfschmerzen gehören zu den häufigsten Gesundheitsproblemen von Kindern und Jugendlichen in den Industrienationen der westlichen Welt [20]. Dessen ungeachtet sind Kopfschmerzpatienten in der kinder- und jugendärztlichen Praxis nicht allzu gern gesehen, gilt ihre Betreuung doch als schwierig und undankbar, möglicherweise wegen der auf den ersten Blick verwirrenden Kopfschmerzklassifikation und der ausgeprägten Placebo- wie inkonstanten Verumbehandlungseffekte.
