Zusammenfassung

Schmerzen im Bereich des Bewegungsapparates sind — neben Kopf- und Bauchschmerzen — nicht selten im Kindes- und Jugendalter. Akute muskulo-skelettale Schmerzen machen im Praxis- und Klinikalltag 6 % aller Konsultationen aus [8] und betreffen 15 % aller Schulkinder [21]. Chronische Erkrankungen des muskuloskelettalen Systems und der Weichteile haben dagegen nur eine Prävalenz von 132/100000 [21].
