Abstract

In this chapter, the following applications of mechanisms will be theoretically modeled. They include two rigid bodies under constrained planar motion:

  • Cart, loaded by a pendulum.

  • Swing with two bodies.

  • Pendulum of a variable length.

  • Milling machine.

  • Double pendulum with an “elastic joint”.

  • Excavator model.

  • Camera attached to an airplane under active constraints.
