Die Schmerzpersönlichkeit — Eine Fiktion?

Zusammenfassung

Als wahrscheinlich älteste „Kreation“ einer Schmerzpersönlichkeit kann die sog. Migränepersönlichkeit gelten. Nach Junkerius wird sie durch „ira, imprimis tacita et supressa“ gekennzeichnet („Wut, besonders stille, unterdrückte“; zit. nach Jonckheere 1971). Diese Aussage stammt aus dem Jahr 1734. Sie begründete eine bis heute ungebrochene Tradition. So schreibt Harrison (1975), daß nichtausgedrückter Ärger („unexpressed anger“) nach klinischer Auffassung heute als das kennzeichnende Merkmal der Migränepersönlichkeit gelte.
