Zusammenfassung

Suizidalität ist der Oberbegriff für:

  • Suizidhandlungen (Suizidversuch bzw. Parasuizid, vollendeter Suizid) definiert nach Stengel (1969)1 als jeder Akt freiwilliger Selbstbeschädigung, bei welchem der Handelnde nicht sicher sein kann zu überleben, und

  • Suizidgefährdung (suizidale Gedanken, Impulse, Pläne im Vorfeld suizidaler Handlungen). Erfassung von Suizidgefährdung ist Aufgabe der Sekundärprävention (s. S. 274)
