Zusammenfassung

Die ausgeprägte Motilität des menschlichen Magens wird durch neurale Prozesse koordiniert und bewirkt die kontinuierliche Durchmischung der Speise. Magenentleerungsstörungen werden vor allem bei mechanischen Hindernissen und bei der diabetischen Gastroparese gefunden. Die Abgabe von Sekret in das Duodenum ist das Ergebnis einer koordinierten Aktivität von Antrum und Duodenum; eine Störung dieser Aktivität kann zum duodenogastralen Reflux und zur Schädigung der Magenschleimhaut, v. a. durch die Exposition mit Gallensäuren führen.
