Zusammenfassung
Zu den Aufgaben der Niere zählt neben der Ausscheidung von Wasser und Stoffwechselabbauprodukten auch eine Vielzahl von regulativen Aufgaben:

Aufrechterhaltung des Gleichgewichtes im Salz-, Volumen- und Säure-Basen-Haushalt,
-
Hydroxylierung des Vorläufermoleküls zu aktivem Vitamin D3,
-
Bildung von Erythropoetin,
-
Regulation des Blutdrucks durch das Renin-Angiotensin-Sys-tem,
-
Konservierung lebenswichtiger Stoffe: Glukose, Aminosäuren, Salze.
