Zusammenfassung
Sequester sind rudimentäre, kleine, akzessorische „Segmente“, meist im Bereich des Segmentes 10, und meist linksseitig lokalisiert (rechts versus links ~ 1:3). Der Sequester kann eine eigene Pleurahülle haben oder innerhalb der Pleura visceralis liegen. Anschlüsse ans Bronchialsystem sind meist rudimentär oder fehlen. Diese Anschlüsse entstehen erst sekundär nach Infektionen. Es kann auch eine ligamentäre Verbindung zum Gastrointestinum bestehen. Die Gefäßversorgung geht oft aus der Aorta ab.
