Abstract

Between 3% and 5% of rheumatoid patients suffer from psoriasis. The incidence of sero-positive arthritis in psoriatics is not apparently influenced by the presence of psoriasis. There is, however, an increased incidence of arthritis in psoriatics and this tends to be of the sero-negative variety. As many as 33% of males with sero-negative rheumatoid arthritis also have psoriasis (Schilling, 1969b).
