Abstract

Pd-Te alloys as shown in Fig. 64, constructed from heating and cooling curves and X-ray diffraction data [1], are discussed in [1, 2]. At room temperature the solubility of PdTe in PdTe2 does not exceed 2% and that of PdTe2 in PdTe does not exceed 4%, alloys with 50 to 66.7 at% Pd are mixtures of PdTe and Pd2Te (eutectic point 490°C). Above 66.7 at% Pd various compound mixtures are stable over narrow composition ranges: Pd2Te/Pd2.5Te (66.7 to 71.5 at% Pd), Pd25Te/Pd3Te (71.5 to 75 at% Pd) and Pd3Te/Pd4Te (75 to 80 at% Pd) [1].
