Zusammenfassung
Störungen der Zahl oder Funktion neutrophi-ler Granulozyten sind oft Defekte hämopoietischer Stammzellen und als solche häufig mit Störungen der Monozyten und Makrophagen gekoppelt. Die Krankheiten können die Bildung und Ausreifung dieser Zellen im Knochenmark oder ihr Überleben in der Peripherie betreffen (Neutropenien) bzw. ihre physiologischen Funktionen beeinträchtigen (Phagozytenfunktionsdefekte). In letzterem Fall sind Motilität (Chemotaxis und/oder Ingestion) bzw. Mikrobenabtötung betroffen.
