Zusammenfassung

Die Alkene bilden eine homologe Reihe von Kohlenwasserstoffen mit einer oder mehreren C=C-Doppelbindungen. Die Namen werden gebildet, indem man bei dem entsprechenden Alkan die Endung -an durch -en ersetzt und die Lage der Doppelbindung im Molekül durch Ziffern, manchmal auch durch das Symbol Δ, angibt. Ihre Summenformel ist CnH2n. Wir kennen normale, verzweigte und cyclische Alkene. Beispiele (die ersten drei Verbindungen unterscheiden sich um eine CH2-Gruppe: homologe Reihe):
