Zusammenfassung

Während im Ethen die Mehrfachbindung zwischen den Kernen lokalisiert ist, gibt es in anderen Molekülen „delokalisierte“ oder Mehrzentrenbindungen, so im Benzen (Benzol), C6H6. Hier bilden die Kohlenstoff-Atome einen ebenen Sechsring und tragen je ein H-Atom. Das entspricht einer sp 2-Hybridisierung am Kohlenstoff. Die Bindungswinkel sind 120°.
