Abstract

There are many works devoted to dynamics of plates and shells, however, relatively few deal with problems of varying thickness. A solution of this class of problems is perhaps the first but necessary step for addressing a wide range of more up-to-date class applications involving optimization of plates and shells design according to required characteristics.
