Abstract

Flows of interest in the aerospace industry present a wide variety of challenges for the turbulence models. High Reynolds number flows are encountered on wings or fuselage while flows over turbine blades can be affected by low Reynolds effects. Subsonic as well as super- and hypersonic flows are to be predicted. Adverse pressure gradients and separation are one of the key problems for flows over wings while strongly accelerated flows are encountered on turbine blades or in rocket nozzles.
