Neuropsychologie von umschriebenen Entwicklungsstörungen

Zusammenfassung

Die Lese-Rechtschreib-Störung (LRS), bereits im 19. Jahrhundert durch britische Augenärzte als kongenitale Wortblindheit beschrieben (Morgan 1896), gehört mit einer Prävalenz um 5% zu den häufigsten umschriebenen Entwicklungsstörungen des Kindes- und Jugendalters mit nicht selten chronischem Verlauf. Nach dem Internationalen Klassifikationsschema für psychische Störungen (ICD-10) erreichen die Betroffenen trotz ausreichender schulischer Unterrichtung und normalen kognitiven Fähigkeiten keine ausreichende Lese- und/oder Rechtschreibfähigkeit. Die LRS wird in allen Schriftsprachen gefunden, auch in der chinesischen, piktographischen Schriftsprache.
