Zusammenfassung
Die invasive Messung von Blutdrücken im Gefäßsystem kann unter 2 gleichrangigen, aber wechselseitig voneinander abhängigen Aspekten betrachtet werden. Während der rein technische Aspekt die möglichst genaue einmalige oder kontinuierliche Messung eines Druckes umfaßt, beinhaltet der im eigentlichen Sinne medizinische Aspekt die korrekte Interpretation und klinische Einordnung der gewonnenen Meßwerte. Hinzu kommt ein praktischmanueller Gesichtspunkt, nämlich die Einführung eines geeigneten Katheters in das gewählte Gefäß unter Minimierung iatrogener Komplikationen.
