Abstract
This chapter considers basic modulation measurements, including calorimetry under high pressures. For our purpose, it is convenient to divide the whole temperature range of modulation calorimetry into three regions, namely: (i) high temperatures, T > 1000 K, (ii) medium temperatures, 300 K < T < 1000 K, and (iii) low temperatures, T < 300 K. The high-temperature region was the first one, where modulation measurements were carried out.
