Zusammenfassung

Penicillin G ist das erste Penicillin, das therapeutisch zur Anwendung kam. Es ist säureempfindlich und muß daher parenteral verabreicht werden. Durch die Bindung an schwerlösliche Salze (Procain-, Benzathin- oder Clemizol-Penicillin) wird eine Depotwirkung erzielt; diese ist für eine intramuskuläre Applikation vorteilhaft. Penicillin V ist säurefest und daher oral applizierbar, besitzt aber eine geringere Aktivität als Penicillin G.
